BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) — Have you ever thought about becoming a product manager, product entrepreneur, or product manager at Amazon?
Two great organizations are teaming up to bring a skills boot camp to Baton Rouge.
National technology education provider, Fullstack Academy, comes to LSU to train people to fill more than 10,000 product management jobs in southern Louisiana.
The program is designed to train professionals in the skills needed to fill more than 10,000 product management job openings in the Baton Rouge metro area in 25 weeks.
Officials said the product management industry in Baton Rouge is expected to grow 4.5% over the next decade, resulting in an average entry-level salary of $88,600, according to Emsi Burning Glass.
During the first 12 weeks, students will learn skills based on product life cycle, market analysis, product planning, product analysis and product strategy. In the second half of the program, students will explore topics related to product management, including UX/UI research, product design, marketing, and software development.
Registration is now open for the Live Online LSU Product Management Bootcamp, which will begin in October 2022. University registration is not required.
A Founder’s Scholarship of $1,500 that can be applied towards the cost of the program will be available to all students who enroll in the first course.
