Quantum control infrastructure software specialist Q-Ctrl has appointed Alex Shih as Product Manager.
“alexanderQ-Ctrl’s consumer and enterprise expertise will help us deliver Q-Ctrl’s powerful quantum computing and quantum sensing capabilities to the widest range of end users, regardless of skill level. experience,” said Q-Ctrl Founder and CEO Professor Michael J. Biercuk.
“His addition to the team highlights the true product focus we have at Q-Ctrl, where we know building technology isn’t enough – we really need to delight our users by helping them achieve their ambitions.”
Shih joins the company from Slack, where he was Technical Product Manager.
He has also worked as a developer at Airbnb, director of product and ecosystem at Planet Labs, senior director of mobile products at Twitter, and director of strategic partner programs at Google.
Shih is also a board member of Interserve and founder of Karibu.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and a master’s degree in engineering and management from MIT Sloan School of Management.
“Getting from large traditional Silicon Valley companies to a fast-moving quantum software company brings new challenges and exciting opportunities that I look forward to in this new role,” Shih said.
