Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU), located in Wenzhou, China, one of three Sino-American universities with NYU Shanghai and Duke Kunshan University, is approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Launched in 2012, WKU offers a unique model of higher education in partnership with Kean University, a comprehensive public university in the State of New Jersey accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. WKU covers approximately 500 beautiful acres and currently hosts approximately 3,500 undergraduate students. About the job:
WKU College of Architecture and Design is seeking dynamic candidates to teach undergraduate studio courses and lectures as part of the industrial design program work experience in one or more of the following areas: 3D technologies , household product, furniture, durability preferred. Additional experience in space saving products, toys, pharmaceuticals, point of sale is desirable. In addition to teaching and / or research, faculty are required to devote non-teaching hours to counseling and providing other support services to students, primarily career mentoring and placement. The ideal candidate will contribute intellectually to the formation of this professional program by developing research and / or creative scholarship which may include peer-reviewed publications, competitive creative work, scholarly presentations, and sponsored projects appropriate to a level. assistant academic; participate in innovative teaching and the development of study programs; and actively engage in professional organizations.
All faculty positions are full-time assignments, starting at the start of the fall semester 2022.
A lecturer is a full-time 12-month employee who teaches 39 credits per year and provides student and learning support services during the assigned period. Speakers will be expected to provide high quality teaching, student counseling, learning support services and services to the university / college / school / program and / or professional community; and perform related work as required. Lecturer positions are not permanent and can be renewed annually.
Teaching duties and related responsibilities may include daytime, evening, weekend and online classes. Interest or experience in using advanced educational technologies to improve the teaching / learning process is highly desirable. All teachers may be required to teach general education courses as needed. Opportunities are also available to teach disciplinary support courses. A terminal diploma is required for tenure-track positions in design and architecture. Equivalent professional experience can be considered as a replacement for a master’s degree as determined by the University. The candidate must have a proven record of professional work and / or university scholarship. A minimum of one year of post-secondary teaching experience and fluency in English is required for all positions.

Faculty positions at WKU offer:
- Annual salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and ranges from $ 62,000 to $ 68,000 for speakers; $ 66,000 to $ 75,000 for assistant professors. The salary of extraordinary candidates is determined on a case-by-case basis.
