Global payments and banking-as-a-service (BaaS) platform OpenPayd has hired former Worldpay vice president Daniel Belda as its new head of product strategy.
Belda will be responsible for defining OpenPayd’s market strategy for its portfolio of integrated finance and BaaS products and developing new fintech services and products.
Previously, he spent the better part of five years in leadership positions at Worldpay, where he developed a national acquiring solution for the Brazilian market and left the company as Vice President of Digital Content and games.
Belda also led the expansion of open banking provider Yolt, where he supported the rollout of its e-money account and debit card.
Speaking on her appointment, Belda said: “Payments are changing – ways to businesses that make it easier and integrated finance is driving that change.
“Through the OpenPayd platform, businesses are able to bring these integrated financial capabilities to life.”
OpenPayd’s platform enables businesses to access accounts, currencies, international and domestic payments, acquiring and open banking worldwide through a single API integration.
