New Electronics – Infineon’s CIRRENT SaaS Offering Powers Product Development with Intelligent Data

Infineon Technologies said it was looking to bring digitalization to the edge of the cloud.

The company unveiled the next generation of its Software as a Service (SaaS) offering – CIRRENT IoT Network Intelligence (INI), which is a cloud-based SaaS offering that helps IoT developers gather insights into their products to increase reliability, improve product performance and reduce support costs.

Product and development teams can use the service to identify, monitor, and resolve customer and product issues faster. CIRRENT Agent embedded software can be deployed in products or deployed live, then devices can transmit data into the CIRRENT Cloud. Development teams can use the online console with new AI and machine learning capabilities to analyze product data to gain new insights into product performance in the field.

“The Internet of Things enables unprecedented visibility into products in the field, but too many IoT product companies lack both the data and the tools to examine the data,” said Rob Conant, vice president of software and ecosystem at Infineon. “Infineon’s CIRRENT INI empowers developers to quickly collect data about their products in the field with dashboards and tools that provide actionable insights to troubleshoot issues and help drive strategic product development. This is just one example of Infineon’s digitization efforts to help our customers build better products.

Infineon’s CIRRENT IoT Network Intelligence (INI) is a SaaS offering that includes CIRRENT Agent embedded software, cloud storage and data analytics. CIRRENT INI also includes an online web console to provide data-driven product development to improve user experience, reduce returns and increase sales.

The INI service is capable of processing over a billion data points per day and has recently introduced new features including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to speed up data analysis and meaningful information for verification and problem solving.

CIRRENT INI is pre-integrated with Infineon solutions, including AIROC Wi-Fi chips, AIROC Cloud Connectivity Manager and CIRRENT Cloud ID.

ModusToolbox developers can integrate CIRRENT Agent on-board software with pre-integrated libraries and sample applications and CIRRENT INI is out-of-the-box with 25 built-in events and attributes, and can be extended to events, attributes and metrics custom designed specifically for the customer’s application/environment.
