Our official US offices include LA, NYC, Stamford and Chicago, and we have several other states in which employees can work remotely if their role does not require them to be in or near the office. THE ROLE: Manager, Distribution Product Development

The Director, Distribution Product Development will act as a key liaison with Multi-Channel Video Programmer (MVPD) distributors to drive value associated with A+’s VOD, TVE and other digital media products E Networks in the pay-TV market. By coordinating the delivery of content and information to clients, optimizing internal workflows, monitoring content performance on client sites/applications and other activities, this person will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction. customers and generating revenue for A+E.


Product Management – Lead and/or participate in daily, weekly, and ad-hoc meetings with other internal A+E departments to align projects, process improvements and changes, and other topics to orchestrate with pay-TV initiatives, in particular TVE and VOD products.

Partner Management – ​​Conduct regular product/operations calls with select traditional MVPD and digital MVPD customers and track progress against ongoing customer initiatives. Develop and maintain positive interactions/relationships with customers.

Contract Compliance – Monitor pay-TV execution to ensure that business practices comply with the terms of agreements with suppliers and customers. Provide these business tips to relevant stakeholders to prioritize projects accordingly.

Partner Onboarding – Coordinate the launch of fulfillment efforts for STB, TV Everywhere (TVE), and Over-the-Top (OTT) pay-TV deliverables. Assist Ad Sales in coordinating Dynamic Ad Insertion (DAI) implementations on distributor sites and apps and contribute to non-domain revenue growth. Consult with internal stakeholders and ensure delivery arrangements are in line with A+E capabilities and resources. Assist digital media in evaluating best practices for undertaking onboarding efforts to onboard MVPD subscribers to authenticate to sites/applications operated and owned by A+E (O+O).

Business Development – Work with supervisor to generate additional revenue through the launch of new products and services. Participate in reporting data collection from distribution partners to help distribution research and analytics teams understand and track the performance of A+E content on pay-TV platforms. Support distribution marketing to ensure the smooth running of marketing stunts.


As a member of A+E’s Distribution arm, you’ll have a 360-degree view of how our content reaches the viewer. Through the Sales team, you’ll learn about the contractual relationships A+E has with our Multi-Channel and Digital Video Programming Distributors (M/DMVPD) – and how to make that deal! In Distribution Marketing, you will think of new and innovative ways to promote our content on Set-top-box, TV Everywhere and Over-the-top platforms. In the Operations group, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at critical tasks related to technical support, contract management and compliance, and data integrity and analytics. And finally, through the Product Development team, you’ll gain a unique understanding of how we optimize content planning and delivery in a rapidly changing media landscape.
