Head of production and product development

Main characteristics:

Entrepreneurial spirit. Very detail oriented with high working standards. Team player. Works well in a young, growing company environment. Love the product.

Experience:

6+ years in production, with specific experience in handbags. Proficiency in Excel, Zedonk or similar order management // inventory programs. Familiar with the coordination of production / logistics / overseas shipments.

Job description:

Sampling / Product development
· Key professional link between design and production partners to achieve approved final production samples. Ensure that all products developed meet:
– Merchandising grid requirements
– Design and quality standards
– Annual and drop development budgets
Partners with design to research factories and suppliers as needed

Production
Ensures the production of all products (* including all necessary labeling and packaging) according to:
– Design and quality standards
– Calendar and calendar deadlines
– Pricing – Cost and margin targets
Manages all necessary shipping / logistics of products from vendors to warehouses ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Switch to internal customer service.

Budget
· Partners with Finance to establish the annual budget and monthly monitoring of COGS updates (including associated shipping / logistics services).
· Coordination of payments to factories / suppliers with Finance, ensuring efficiency and updating of cash reports.
