Sakata Seed America has appointed Kristopher (Kris) Carlsson as Senior Manager, Research & Development and Product Development for NAFTA Ornamentals.
Kris Carlsson comes to Sakata with extensive technical production, marketing, sales, team building and management experience in the North American ornamentals market, most recently serving as Portfolio Manager: Patio for PanAmerican Seed. He has also held senior positions at Ball FloraPlant. Carlsson received a BS in Environmental Horticulture from California State University, Chico.

Carlsson is responsible for strategic leadership in research and development, product development and sourcing to maximize customer success, including developing and implementing go-to-market strategies for newly developed products and awarded in the North America, Central America and Oceania markets. He is based in California.
